Enterprise Features

Built for Production at Scale

Everything you need to run Arc in mission-critical environments with confidence.

Clustering & High Availability

Deploy across multiple nodes with automatic failover and split architecture for writer/reader/compactor roles.

  • 3+ node clustering
  • Raft-based leader election
  • < 30 second failover
  • Horizontal read scaling

Role-Based Access Control

Granular permissions with organizations, teams, database/measurement-level access, and SSO integration.

  • Organizations & teams
  • Database-level permissions
  • Measurement-level access
  • LDAP/SAML/OIDC

Tiered Storage

Automatically move data between hot, warm, and cold tiers based on age and access patterns.

  • Hot/warm/cold tiering
  • Automatic migration
  • Query-time routing
  • 60-80% storage savings

Automatic Aggregation

Scheduled continuous queries and retention policies that run automatically without manual intervention.

  • Scheduled CQs
  • Automatic retention
  • Cascading aggregations
  • Backfill support

Query Governance

Control resource usage with quotas, rate limiting, query caching, and cost estimation.

  • Per-user/team quotas
  • Rate limiting
  • Result caching
  • Query audit trail

Backup & DR

Managed backup and restore with point-in-time recovery and cross-region replication.

  • Point-in-time recovery
  • Cross-region replication

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Arc Enterprise.

Arc Enterprise includes all features from Arc OSS plus: multi-node clustering with automatic failover, granular RBAC with SSO integration, hot/cold tiered storage, automatic continuous query scheduling, query governance (quotas, rate limiting, caching), and managed backup/disaster recovery. It's the same codebase - a license key unlocks enterprise features.
All Enterprise tiers include dedicated support with response time SLAs. Starter tier gets email support with 24-hour critical response. Professional adds Slack support with 8-hour critical response. Enterprise tier includes phone support, 24/5 coverage, 4-hour critical response, and quarterly business reviews. Unlimited tier gets a dedicated Slack channel, 24/7 coverage, 1-hour critical response, and a dedicated engineer.
Arc Enterprise uses core-based licensing. You're licensed for a maximum number of CPU cores across all nodes in your deployment. The license is tied to your hardware via machine fingerprint. Air-gapped deployments are fully supported via offline activation. License validation happens locally - no internet required for day-to-day operation.
Yes, migration is seamless. Arc Enterprise is the same binary as Arc OSS - adding a license key unlocks enterprise features. There's no data migration required. Your existing configurations, data, and settings are preserved. You can gradually adopt enterprise features at your own pace.
Yes, we offer a 14-day free trial. Trials require sales engagement to ensure we can help you evaluate the right features for your use case. During the trial, you get full access to all Enterprise features. Contact our sales team to get started.
Arc Cloud (managed hosting) is a separate initiative planned for the future. Currently, we're focused on Arc Enterprise (self-hosted) because that's where our customers' needs are. Arc Enterprise gives you full control over your deployment while we handle the enterprise features. If you're interested in managed hosting, let us know.
We provide ample warning before expiration. 30 days before expiry, you'll see dashboard warnings. After expiry, there's a 14-day grace period with full functionality. After that, Arc enters read-only mode (queries work, writes blocked). After 30 days, enterprise features disable and Arc reverts to OSS behavior. Your data is never at risk.
We offer multi-year discounts for 2-year and 3-year contracts. Contact sales to discuss pricing for your specific needs.
