Arc Enterprise includes all features from Arc OSS plus: multi-node clustering with automatic failover, granular RBAC with SSO integration, hot/cold tiered storage, automatic continuous query scheduling, query governance (quotas, rate limiting, caching), and managed backup/disaster recovery. It's the same codebase - a license key unlocks enterprise features.
Tier I and Tier II can be bought directly with a card or bank transfer. Checkout runs on Stripe, billing is annual, and your license key is emailed within 1 business day. Tier III, Unlimited, invoices, purchase orders, and multi-year contracts go through sales.
All Enterprise tiers include dedicated support with response time SLAs. Tier I gets email support with 24-hour critical response. Tier II adds Slack support with 8-hour critical response. Tier III includes phone support, 24/5 coverage, 4-hour critical response, and quarterly business reviews. Unlimited tier gets a dedicated Slack channel, 24/7 coverage, 1-hour critical response, and a dedicated engineer.
Arc Enterprise uses core-based licensing. You're licensed for a maximum number of CPU cores across all nodes in your deployment, and a maximum number of machines per tier. The license is tied to your hardware via machine fingerprint. Air-gapped deployments are fully supported via offline activation. License validation happens locally - no internet required for day-to-day operation.
Upgrade any time. You pay the prorated difference for the remainder of your term and we issue a new license key for the higher tier. Email enterprise@basekick.net with your license key to upgrade.
Yes, migration is seamless. Arc Enterprise is the same binary as Arc OSS - adding a license key unlocks enterprise features. There's no data migration required. Your existing configurations, data, and settings are preserved. You can gradually adopt enterprise features at your own pace.
Yes. If you are not ready to commit, or want to talk through your deployment first, contact sales for a 14-day trial with full access to all Enterprise features. Direct purchases come with a 30-day refund if the license fails to activate on your infrastructure.
Arc Enterprise Managed is the same Arc Enterprise, but we run it for you on dedicated physical servers. Tuning, upgrades, monitoring, and migration handled by Basekick Labs. Arc Enterprise (this page) is the self-hosted edition for teams that want full control and run the database themselves. Same features, different operational model.
Direct purchases renew automatically every year at the then-current price for your tier unless cancelled. Manage or cancel the subscription from the Stripe customer portal link in your receipt; cancelling stops the next renewal and your license runs to the end of the paid term. Sales-managed contracts renew by invoice.
Keys are issued with a 14-day grace period past the paid term, and Arc's health endpoint reports the days remaining so you can alert on it. Once the key expires, Arc reverts to OSS behavior at its next license check or restart: ingestion, queries, and compaction keep working, and enterprise features such as clustering, RBAC, and tiered storage switch off. Your data is never at risk, and a renewed key restores everything without migration.
