We're Heading to Small Data San Francisco 2025!
This weekend we're traveling—a lot—from Montevideo, Uruguay to San Francisco, California to be part of Small Data SF 2025!
We're incredibly excited to participate, learn what others are building, meet people who also love the Duck (DuckDB, of course!), and talk to anyone who wants to hear about Arc, our time-series database built on DuckDB.
What is Small Data SF?
Small Data SF is a community-driven conference focused on DuckDB and the modern data stack. It's a gathering of developers, data engineers, and enthusiasts who believe that not all data problems need "big data" solutions—sometimes, the best answer is simpler, faster, and runs on a single machine.
Perfect fit for Arc, right?
What We're Looking Forward To
Learning from the community: DuckDB has an amazing ecosystem, and we're eager to see what others are building on top of it. From MotherDuck to various analytics tools, the DuckDB community is innovating fast.
Sharing Arc's story: We'll be talking about how we built Arc on DuckDB's shoulders—handling 2.42M RPS ingestion, competing on ClickBench, and solving real-world IoT and observability problems. We don't have talk this year, but we are expecting to contribute at some capacity for the next one.
Meeting fellow builders: There's nothing like face-to-face conversations with people who are as passionate about databases and performance as we are.
Workshops and talks: The event kicks off November 4th with workshops, followed by the main conference on November 5th. We can't wait to absorb knowledge from the speakers and participate in the discussions.
